Wonderful highboard by an unknown Danish cabinetmaker, I am guessing from the Kaare Klint school. The top segment has three compartments. One with shelves behind the two left doors and two smaller ones on the right side. These feature a shelf and a drawer each. The inlay on these drawers is a nice demonstration of the cabinetmaker's skills. Put this together with the subtle brass frames around the drawers, the way the drawing of the wood continues over the doors, the drawers and the frame and the overall precision and it will get really hard not to see the uniqueness of this cupboard. This is not a factory made item, it is a piece of history on solid rosewood legs!
Some normal traces of use are present, one area on top with some light veneer damage (see pictures).
Dimensions are 140 by 40 cm and 131 cm in height.
